National Roaming in Balochistan

According to PTA officials, Balochistan will be allowed to use national roaming by June 2023 since the necessary equipment has already arrived and there is minimal work remaining.
The Director General Licensing of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Brigadier Amir Shahzad, initially broke the news regarding the countrywide roaming. While briefing the Senate Standing Committee, Mr. Shahzad shared the information.
Balochistan will soon have access to national roaming, which will help the province's connection problems and make it easier for businesses to invest there. All regions will have national roaming, with the exception of a few that cellular mobile operators are not financially interested in.

Balochistan is now being considered a priority case, according to PTA officials who were speaking about the plan, and the province will get nationwide roaming by June 2023. It was discovered that the equipment required for nationwide roaming has already been delivered; the only thing remaining is a little bit of finishing work.

Speaking on the province's network issues, the chairman of the committee noted that most Balochistan areas lack internet access, which presents significant challenges for the province's pupils. He continued by saying that many areas really have services suspended due to security issues.

Speaking at the briefing, Senator Afnanullah Khan stated that Gwadar and the surrounding areas require particular attention since they have attracted a lot of foreign investment.

Speaking during the conference, telecom executives covered a wide range of fresh initiatives being worked on to build a high-speed network in Balochistan. Most of Ufone's towers in Gwadar now offer 4G services.
